The records for which <expireDateTime> is either less than or equal to the time of clear procedure start or NULL (not defined) are marked as obsolete.

If <expireDateTime> is not defined set in history definition, then:

  • If ODBC history is used, ClearHistory procedure won't be even started and no record will be deleted and the following ERROR message will be logged:
Code Block
ERROR [BL_Action] 140334600271616 Action 'ClearHistory' for History <History_Name> failed. Reason: History <History_Name> unable to clear: the ExpireDateTime filed is not defined!
  • If File/Memory history is used, <expireDateTime> will be treated as NULL and ClearHistory procedure will delete all records.
